Garden

"I beg your pardon, Mrs Arden,
there's a chicken in your garden!"
"Good heavings, only sevings,
I thought there was elevings!"

I've been away for a while, but when I saw the theme for this week, this little ditty that my granny used to say came into my head, so I rushed this off very quickly...

Ag cute man! A pleasant reminder of our funny Granny Iris - and appropriate for Easter. Love the bright colours - is that w/c + ink?
Or coloured inks? We went to the beach yesterday - took the dogs. I took my tiny sketch travel journal. But the beach is so uggs here - we just weren't inspired to sit down and relax. We took the dogs for a walk - found a quieter, less busy spot and had our flasked tea which tasted like plastic flask - ew! The went home again.

I drew the outlines with a thin black pen, then scanned it and coloured it digitally in Photopaint - hence very bright colours. Pity about the uggsy beach (and the plastic tea) - I bet the dogs appreciated it though. I don't think many beaches match up to our SA ones we've been so privileged to enjoy!
