For Rhonda with a sweet tooth, this is a toughie...
This comes from childhood memories of going to the little corner shop in Cape Town, with two cents or five cents and staring for ages at what seemed like a vast array of difficult choices - though you could get quite a lot for your money (two or four sweets for a cent). In those days there weren't restrictions on colourants or hygienic plastic wrappers on everything, but ah, it was exciting.

Great, vibrant depiction of the selection of sweets and all larger than life (which they seem to be when a child)!
Don't you still feel just like that when the ice cream truck tinkles by on your street? It's like I'm a kid again trying to decide if I want a bomb pop or a watermelon stick ... this is SO great!
wow those candies look great!! i want them..haha nice !
love the candy!
Love it!
Nice perspective and linework! But I have to say, I'm a little baffled by the jar of fish. Are those candy fish?
yes, Elizabeth - pink and white marshmallow fish were an essential part of childhood as I knew it. I could go nostalgically on and on about the candy (as you call it in the States) we could choose from... bulls-eyes, luminous pink Stars, sour-balls, Chappies, Wicks bubble-gum, sherbet with liquorice straws... but I won't :<)
Oh, the lollipops in the bottom left corner just look so glossy. Very well done overall.
I used to love to go to the corner store (which was probably a mile walk away), and get a glass bottle of Pepsi and a little paper bag of 25 Swedish Fish.
